No Chris Rainey, wow. Over a thousand rushing yards in 10 games and not even a peep. What a load of Crapola.
Rainy's rushing numbers
132 carries for 1,032 yards 9 td's and 0 fumbles. 7.8 yards per carry.

9 TD's? That's not heisman status. If he had like 14 TD's or something like that, then maybe. But your giving yourself too much credit. He is not a Heisman Player.

Haha, I see why you are complaining, I didn't put DJ's passing stats in there, I just put his rushing stats, ha, my bad man.

i thought the point of the Heisman was to vote for the best player... and if you look at the number its by far.. Bey.. but whatever.. i set records and dont even get a vote... thats just stupid..

theres more to the heisman than stats....D. Jones spread the wealth and gave his team the best chance to win....D Will made people play the pass and forget about the run, hence roysters numbers, and he changed field position on special teams...........what did bey do? Lead his team to a .500 record while being a stat whore?
its all a popularity contest anyway

this point of this heisman as well as the real heisman has little to do with stats and more to do with popularity of the player and the team.
Real life. Graham Harrell had better numbers than both McCoy and Bradford, yet he wasnt even invited.
Texas Tech is also 11-1 and co south champs as texas and OU. were.
Name class G att comp int pct yds td avg/g G. Harrell sr 12 568 406 7 71.5 4747 41 395.6 Bradford SO 13 442 302 6 68.3 4464 48 343.4 McCoy Jr 12 375 291 7 77.6 3445 32 287.1 Tebow jr 13 268 174 2 64.9 2515 28 193.5
Now why in the hell was tebow invited and not Haerrell? What a damn joke the heisman is sometimes.

because the last 5 tech qb's have done EXACTLY what harrel has. They didn't win anymore games because of what he did.....they had a decent defense this year. Crabtree was more deserving than harrell. Look at every qb under leach. Kingsbury, Combie, whoever...BJ Symons set the single season passing record and have you honestly ever heard of him? Until a Tech QB does something in the pros they ALL be labeled system qb's/

yeah, thats like inviting ringer or shonn greene to the heisman this year. ok, they were incredible compared to everyone else, but when you get the ball more times than the numbers in your name your going to put up some freakish stats. Its all about winning, it always has been and always will be.

Vtech nailed it. It's just a popularity contest. I'm sure D-Will did great things for his team, certainly better than most players, but his stats aren't that great. Jones' are FAR better. 83% completion and more than 2:1 TD to INT ratio, plus 400+ yards and 7 TDs on the ground. Not even close. And Bey, stat whore or not, is by far the best player on Maryland, so you would expect him to get disproportional numbers. Don't blame osu0999093 for getting it to his best player. It was the defenses fault for not finding a way to slow him down. It can be done with a good gameplan. I held him to 2 catches for 30 yards.
Also, don't fool yourself into thinking he was the only stat whore. Almost all the best players in this league will pad stats in the second half of games that they have a comfortable lead in. It's not just osu334361. It's just more obvious with him because of how poor the defenses were prepared. 90% of the players that make the Heisman poll are stat whores to an extent.
And if you're going to use the "who helped their team most" you would certainly have to go with Jones, since he took one of the lower overall ranked teams to the best record in the league and a #1 playoff seed.
It's nothing against vtech... I just think most people are voting with their emotions and for ulterior motives.

Unless someone is clearly the favorite, I always vote on how that person did against me. Bey was limited to 3 catches and like 30 yards, while Dwill had a touchdown, the fact that he was targeting him all game cost him prolly 5 of his 7 int's. Plus, I won both of those games head to head, so I voted for my guy.

I voted for Heyward-Bey. D-Will was great, and the Cinci QB must have done a great job. D-Will took 2 TDs back against me on KOs I think, but I have changed my kick coverage scheme since then. (Not that he wouldn't do the same thing again, but my scheme is better now.)
Heyward-Bey caught 7 Tds against me with 350 some yards, what can I say, I was impressed. I hesitated voting for him after he got shut down in the play-offs, but still, the numbers are staggering.
