I read on a web site, operation sports, that this defense is once again very effective. Is anyone trying it? I used to run this in the first season I was in the COFL and it seemed pretty good. Last year it was not very effective. Anyone trying it this year and has an opinion?
I also was reading about the "auto-sprint" setting, that I had never even known existed. Anyone know anything about that?
Also, settings, I currently use conservative for pass catching and big run, and am currently running my defense all on balanced. I read that setting the d-line to aggressive is really the way to go, but someone commented that putting the d-line on aggressive would lead to more room for outside runs.
Any advice or thoughts would be great. Thanks.

425 is pretty good. only problem is when your opponent comes out with a bunch wide receiver formation and your in man to man, the safety on the opposite side of the field matches up against the slot guy even though he is standing right on top of the center. you gotta move him before the snap and then switch to someone else and NOT move them because prez is a tard and doesnt realize his rule is flawed.
ditto on the conservative catch/run. no reason to drop wide open passes or to fumble IMO.

I used to do this and Prez told me I was breaking the rule, so you can't even do that.

Oh yeah, the guy you move is the guy you need to be when the ball is snapped. I forgot about that. That is ok, there is a problem with the 4-2-5 for sure, I was trying it out in practice mode. I'll just stick with multiple d for now, with the 4-3 as my base defense. The second SS for LSU is pretty iffy anyway.

The way to work it,I use 425 as my base 90% of my def are out of it. Is Highlight the reciver left uncovered ( this will give you help on him.) Shift your LBs to that side and jam the outside reciver. This will leave the LB free to provide short coverage until yourFS gets over.

I turned both off after 2 days. Auto strafe really fucks up the user aspect on D.

Wow, thanks for the info, Vtech and others. This is one of the things I like about this league, the best players will try to help you out rather than trying to keep stuff to themselves. I thought my user guy was not acting right on D. Thanks DbG.

the more I use the 425, the more I like it. It's a good defense theBea version has a nice zone that also gives sweeps trouble.

the more I use the 425, the more I like it. Really ZZ? Crap. I guess I will have to check it some more. I used to like it a lot. Anyone using the 4-3 as their base D, besides me? LSU has some good corners which helps.

Just have to try to be big with your safety and not be afraid to man blitz.

I've used both, 335 and 425...and I just don't feel comfortable defending the pass with it. Seams really blow it up.
