Here is my view of the gameplan settings so far.
Defensive game plan:
Big Hits - I always have this on agressive. I don't really see the detriment to having this on aggressive, except I have a feeling you get more roughing the passer penalties with this on aggressive. I don't notice a crap more of missed tackles or anytyhing.
Strip Ball- I usually have this on normal. If you put this on aggressive, you get a crap load of facemask penalties, which makes it not worth it to me. The other thing about "strip ball" in general in this game is that you are likely to miss the tackle if you go for the strip. In last year's game going for the strip did not result in so many missed tackles.
Zone Coverage - I usually have this on normal. If I play it tight, the cpu is looking to throw over the top qutie often. I have never tried playing it tight against another user though. I don't play it loose becuase I don't like the idea, and I have not even tried it yet.
Defenisve LIne - I normally have this on aggressive. Some offisdes penalties, but not too much. I don't know if a user could take better advantage of somebody playing this aggressive by using a lof of fake snaps or not.
Pass Defense - I normally have this set on aggressive, for interceptions. I don't really notice "more chances to get beat" with this set on aggressive.
Option Defense - I normally have this set to play the QB, aggressive. I do this since I almost always play my FS, and normally my FS can cover the pitchman.
Offensive game plan:
Get Open - Not very sure about this one. My Auburn QB does not have the strongest of arms so I leave this on normal. If I had a QB with a gun I would at least try this on aggressive (run deep.)
Holding Blocks- I leave this on nomral. Too many holding penalties if you put it on aggressive, and I see no need to put it on consevative.
Impact Blocks - I have tried this on aggressive. Sometimes it doesn't seem to cause problems, but then sometimes you get "clipping penalties" up the wazoo. I normally leave this on normal, since I don't see any advantage to setting it to conservative.
Catching - I have this is on conservative, mostly because I see it fitting my style more. I don't have a lot of drops, but I have not changed this very often.
Big Run - I have this on conservative. I love this one. I hardly ever fumble. I have tried it on aggressive, but never really saw a big difference, except for the more fumbles.
