I think it would be smart if they did that. Consolidate, consolidate, consolidate. The goal is to make everything easier in life and not have as much junk.

I'd rather have the options...once you only get one choice of a platform/game the companies that make those products have no reason to make them better and will continue to roll out the same crap year after year...(sound familiar?)

I'd rather have the options...once you only get one choice of a platform/game the companies that make those products have no reason to make them better and will continue to roll out the same crap year after year...(sound familiar?) Exactly take EA for an example... Why do you think EA constantly deliver quality games for there NHL and FIFA franchises? Cause they have compeition with other game companies and can't half ass it cause they know if they release a bad product for games they have comp with they will lose consumers to the other game company. Madden and NCAA was at it best during the PS2 and XBOX(original not 360) days and you know why? Cause they were in competion with 2K and when EA bought out the NFL and NCAA rights thats when EAs two football franchises went on a downhill spirial but people still buy there games cause there the only football games on the market that has the NFL and NCAA rights. So if you have only one gaming company that can make gaming consoles then it will have lots of problem cause they won't be motivated to produce a quality product cause theres no reason for them to, They will make all the money from video games and there are people that must have the latest and greatest gaming products.
