Was just thinking about this today and asked myself this question... Whenever I really want to play a "video game" anymore 75% of the time it's either on my iPhone or iPad rather then PS3 these days.
If you asked me this same question last year I probably would have said 50/50 or given the edge to PS3. If you asked me 2 years ago it was definitely 75/25 ps3.
...My reason for bringing this up is it is an interesting dynamic going forward. While its conservative to think we'll always have game systems via our TVs, hand held portable gaming has taken on a life of its own. Who wants to take 3 minutes starting up a gaming system they only want to play for 15 minutes when they can get the same benefit in a 10 second start up time via they're smart phones and tablets? Once Apple learns how to incorporate "online" gaming such as PSN or Xbox Live into their units video game consoles might be done for. TVs are already getting made with wifi and apps such as Netflix and YouTube built in these days.
Basically what I'm saying is...... Steve Jobs for president.

Yeah, in 5-10 years everything will be so much quicker, faster and at our hands right away. Life will be so easy.

It'll all be hand held via tablets and smart phones. It's going to be really interesting to see what happens because the fat gaming systems will in a likelihood be a thing of the past.
