for those of you who like Rap, don't listen b/c I gurantee you will hate them:
They are called The Redwalls, they are a Beatles-esque (sp?) type of band. I want to Southern Illinois with one of the singers. Both singers are brothers. They are really good. Here are a few of their songs. Those of you who like good classic rock with new rock music like me, then these are you guys:

oh stop it right there...Chevelle is good, but i'm not into that type of music, so, my judgement is detered. I do love that one song, I think it was the 2nd single after "The Red". Its awesome. I think you and I have different tastes in music. Wilco is probably the best band out of Chicago, beside the band "Chicago".

oh yeah, Local H, great Chicago band. Isn't Disturbed from Chicago? I think they blow though. Do you like Alkaline Trio, they are more punk, when I say punk, I mean punk, not Fall Out Boy (Chicago Band) or any of that gay bubble gum pop punk shit.

ya disturbed is a chicago band, and they are garbage. there's a lot of ones from the area, mudvayne is from peoria. alkaline isn't my normal listen, but they do have some good stuff. i'd say if i was going to go with someone from that type of music it'd probably be thrice.
i've actually met the guys from fallout boy because i had a friend who went to highschool with one of them. they were friendly, but i didn't happen to tell them that their music sucks ass. the singer from rise against went to hersey, but they're not all that much better than fallout boy

I don't mind Rise Against...yeah, Fall out boy went to New Trier. The redwalls went to Deerfield. I did not know Mudvayne was from Illinois. There are a couple of the Suburban Pop Punk bands that made it big like Fall Out Boy, but I can't think of any of their names. I'm not into the heavy stuff. I like The White Stripes, The Strokes & Kings of Leon...that classic rock sound with a new side to it.

idk how it happened, i used to listen to rap and that was it. then it was like the flip of a light switch i started getting into metal
i liked the first white stripes song, the one with the video that had legos, but haven't gotten into anything since that
