You seem like you would appreciate this band or maybe not, but if you don't, "does this mean that your moving on?"

This is a pretty solid band I have been listening to for a few years now. My buddy Tvis (Gamecock T) and I went down to Athens and saw them play at the 40 watt a couple of years ago. We watched the dawgs play the cocks in basketball then went over to the show.
Black Rebel Motorcycle club.
This song is a little easier on the ears. From what you have posted lately Pete, I think you could apreciate these guys.

I like them, I've heard them before, BRMC. They ahve that gritty dirty style to them. Sound a little like Oasis. They have that, "we don't give a fuck" attitude. I like it.
What about these cats, they have Donny kent written all over them:

They remind me of some 70's punk and 80's techno.

luv me some brmc....i like more of their mellow stuff - believe it or not, a couple were actually used in The O.C.
pearl jam was always great....sucks they went all "fuck you" and didn't do any videos for a while, but i actually just watched their storytellers the other day - they still know how to put on a great show
another great band that is a little punk mixed with techno mixed with awesomeness is MGMT

MGMT, i've heard of them, I heard one song and it was a little weird, I'll give it another try. You know we always got Old Crow Medicine Show.

This song makes me want to smoke weed and chill, its more up Hokie's alley more than Kent's, but ya'll never know. It has that country yet classic rock vibe to it...

Prez, one day you will tell yourself, what happened to all the great music and bands, that is when you will know you are old.
And then when you find a couple new bands that put that blood back into your veins you really feel young again. BMRC and the Black Angels are two bands that did it for me.
My wife told me the other day that my old school high top vans with checkerboard, black and white are not cool anymore and that thermal long sleeve Ts under tee shirts are not cool any more either. And yes I still wear Levi's that are pretty tight, like old punk style jeans.
She said that is equivalent to the 80;s mullet.
I am the only guy that things that shit is still cool, me and a few of my buddies. LOL.

Thermol long sleeve T? You mean the 3/4 quarter sleeve T? If so, I got like 5 of those, one says "Ditka" and has a picture of him on it, its F'n classic.
Your right, I got my core of bands that i've loved since 2000 and about 4 of them will last another decade while the other fade away. I remember when they first came out and it was the greatest b/c at the time there was no rock music at all, we had Limp Bizkit, Korn and other shit that I hated.

This was the first band that blew me away as a kid, in the height of heavy metal in the early 80's the ramones were doing something in the completely opposite direction, yet they were still bad asses.
I think the Ramone's and sex pistols really had alot to do with pulling me over to the punk side of rock n roll.
These guys were nothing but attitude.
