not to bump on every play? I don't see a good one. There should be a reasonable risk vs. reward for any tactic, and I just don't see a viable risk for playing bump n run every down. I agree it's not as ridiculously effective as last year, but still...

Cuz its cheesy. With the rules, it gives the offense a lot more options and oppurtinuties to get yardage and everything. I think the rules are fine wehre they are.

Try playing a solid secondary without blazing fast receivers... then tell me it doesn't work. Ticc plays man bump every play, and without much speed at receiver (Nebraska) the passing game is extremely disabled. Not to mention since vertical routes rarely get separation in this game, you can take the safeties out of their deep zone and help cover the underneath routes.
