I'm sorry but offense is so fucking easy. There is always something open no matter what play you call. Especially in the flats. And I'm so sick of people playing backup QBs with 90 speed. I saw a dude who played 2 scramblers over Colt McCoy. I saw another guy start #2 over Todd Boeckmon. I saw a dude play Percy Harvin over Tim Tebow. That shit gets fucking ridiculous. And the thing is, they have success. I called the same scheme I have called my whole life to stop that shit and it doesn't work. All they do is run or go to the sidelines and wait for you to commit and then throw over your head. I try spreading my line out or zone blitzing but you can't get to him. Blitzing doesn't seem to work at all either. This was on the PS3 tho.

is there even a way to commit on defense for ps3? i can't figure out how. i still think the game sucks, but i'm really trying to get used to it. i have no idea how to stop the pass right now. you're right, the flats are always open and if you call man coverage, the tight end is open 99% of the time on whatever route he runs. you're right on the blitzing too, they are totally ineffective.
the thing that pisses me off the most though is the no huddle and being able to go for it on every 4th down. i've got to be the only person who punts in this game. it'll be like 2nd and ten, and they will throw two incomplete passes (the same play on no huddle), then no huddle again on 4th and 10, and complete the pass. who the fuck doesn't huddle after an incomplete pass, and then on 4th down. it's a joke

CRYbabyFROMred...your playing in the lobby, what do you expect? The lobby has no rules, is your EA Name still tearfromred, i'll be on tonight if you want to play, my ea name is PresidentOfCofl.
I noticed the blitzes are not as effective as '08, they aren't ineffective, they just aren't as cheesey as they used to be.
Do you guys realize how unrealstic '08 was? This game is realistic...embrace it!

commit is still right analog..it just doesn't say commit when you do it...but yeah i noticed that too that the D has a tough time containing the qb and the DB's breakdown on scrambles

I just don't understand how it is not fun. Its so real. Kent and I played Florida vs Georgia and it felt like I was watching the game on CBS.
You'll like it one of these days, you just got to get out of the run bobby reid every play and he breaks tackles b/c '08 is 100% pure cheese compared to this game

I agree with Prez here, our game last night seemed so real, it was 100 times better than any lobby game I have played so far.
When he ran Tebow out of that power set at times I stopped it and at times he busted through a tackle or two.
The play books all seem so accurate. Every hand off I kept waiting for the PA deep ball so I never hit commit.
I moved the ball well in the 1st 3 quarters and was stopped in the red zone all three times.
One of the best plays was a deep fade I threw in the end zone from the 25 yard line, that play looked so real, my guy caught it with 5 yards of separation from his manned corner. Touch Down, I took the lead and was pumped. Then the booth reviewed it and said he didn't have a foot in bounds. That play turned the hole momentum of the game around.
We each threw 1 pick each. The sweetest pass prez threw was in the 1st quarter. I was expecting a run and called a zone cover two, he threw a post in between the safety's and I grabbed Rashad Jones and was 2 inches away from the pick, his guy caught it and walked in for the TD. That felt like a real Florida type of play, even Tobow did his fist pump.
I lost and still felt like it was a great game. This game is 100 times better than any thing I have ever played from EA NCAA.
By the way now with the rosters all uploaded it even feels more real.

IM just happy i found a brnad new ps3 for 200$.. so i cut down the cost of SLOWNESS. I like the graphics.. i like the jump catch glitch has been nerfed to some point. I like the ai of the o linmen is better on blitzes.. just speed up the gameplay a couple notches and it will be fine.

As far as tear, the last 4 games I played against him were the following.
Elect to receive to score first and get plus 5 momentum and get bobby reid in the zone. All things that are not as big of a factor in 09. The momentum is there but not like 08. Plus Read in the zone isnt as big of a factor as 08.
Run bobby Reid until he starts blinking, if he isn't blinking pass to WR on deep posts.
Score first to get all momentum.
Run bobby Reid when he gets in the zone, he breaks every 1st hit.
On D Run 3-4 zone blitz schemes.
The new game makes fast QB's more realistic. In a real football game your not going to run Your QB for 95% of the run plays and be successful.
You were good tear, but I think allot of it was taking advantage of the video game flaws 08 had.
Again I am not flaming you, I think your solid but your last few runs with OK state was all predicated on taking advantage of the Flaws with 08.
I sucked too, I am on an 8 game losing streak. Hell I probably will still suck with 09 but it feels more like real football to me.

Coach P, overall though I think 09 is light years better than 08. Maybee next year the speed will be faster, but it isnt as slow as 08 ps3 was.

i'm getting used to the speed of the game more now. but you can't tell me that in the open field the guys aren't extremely slow. well except for trindon holliday, he returned a punt on me and ran the field in like 2 seconds
and it was a little different than that kent. i had 3 years at ok state, and the first i threw the ball at most 8 times a game. the second and third i would always score two quick td's by just passing with reid to get him in the zone, and then i'd mix the option in. as far as the defense i usually called cover 2 out of the 3-4, with the mlb in a zone over the middle of the field. but when people would hot route their rb and fb to block, the linebackers that were covering those guys would run into the backfield because that was their man.
it's a different game, i'm not mad that the style of offense i used the last few years doesn't work. hell it wasn't even something that i tried until i had a ridiculously bad year with fsu and started trying new things because that season was shot. it just happened that it worked well against 95% of the people in the league. i'm sure i'll find something on offense in this gm too, but i'm having a harder time on defense than anything. the man coverage is terrible at covering anyone who runs a route to the flats, and the zone is easy to pick apart down the field. idk what else to do, hopefully i'll catch on in league games
