I have torn every last one of mine. Where can I purchase the little rubber that goes at the top of the analog sticks?

The left one pains cuz of that little sharp piece. Also eberry and Vtech I play alot of Fight Night Round 4 and 2K9 Basketball both require a lot of analog action.
Hey I bought those little finger triggers that go on the R2 and L2 buttons and I can tell a difference in the reaction of the buttons.

go to gamestop and try to find a used ps1 or ps2 controller and take the rubber knobs off of it and put it on your ps3 controller

I have you all beat on this one. Anything rubber that comes in contact with my skin eventually eats away. I had a physical about 5 years ago and the doc told me that my sweat glands produce alot of acid, hereditary thing he said. The doc asked me if I go through alot of gloves or anything that comes in contact with my hands daily. It really blew me away when he told me this.
My laptop is only a year old now and the letters on the keys have already disappeared on all the home keys.
I have had to put a steering wheel cover on twice now since 2003.
Everything I touch eventually erodes away. No shit. LOL.

I messed up my PS2 controller after throwing it cuz of NFL Street. God that game was just terribly unrealistic. lol. Anyways I could just pop the left stick out and it would come out of the little hole that attaches it inside of the controller. I played through it, actually that controller made it through 7 years of playing.

^that's terrible thurm, I use to smash my controllers every 3 or 4 months. If I had one last half of a year it was a miracle..

on ps2 I bet I went through about 8 controllers. On ps3 I swore I wouldn't break any because they $50. So I jsut had one. My wife surprised me with another one day out of the blue. And a week later I threw it against the wall after a bad play and it broke...bummer.

I've learned the best thing is to throw the PS3 controller into the couch or some pillows. Not as gratifying, but makes sure it doesn't break.

My controller is thrown straight up into the air, and I hope I catch it on the way down.

I found the rubber replacements at Gamestop they were $4 a pair.
Kent I feel ya, my hands wore them little ass covers down. They started ripping as I was playing. When I played Scylth sunday both sides were split and my fingers were hitting the analog controllers but getting lost in the splits. It was very frustrating and i got burnt twice on simple ass plays.
I also throw my controller on my couch as well, helps me release some tensions.

This thread is really funny.
I too eventually split the rubber off my controllers. But, my biggest issue is that I have taken back 2 controllers now, and am ready to take the 3rd one back, because my left analog stick keeps breaking. It ends up with a clicking noise and can get stuck in kind of the upper right position. The other controller that I bought at the same time has been fine for months.
