Intriguing Ohgeez I was dunking in the 9th grade, dunking isn't that special if you can't dribble the ball from point "A" to point "B". But I'm glad you can get up there, my goal was to lay my nuts on the person I was dunking on face. Dunks with someone trying to play defense are the best. Thurman I am dissappointed you decided to pursue your destiny as a manager. I encourage you to spend some time working out over the summer and re-evaulate your plans at the conclusion. If you still think your not actually going to play, then you can lift heavy year round. 1. im white and i go to a black school. 2. i cant jump. 3. im white. 4. i wouldnt have even gotten to play, practicing and not playing is just not fun at all. 5. im white. 6. being the manager is great because the coaches dont yell at you, you get all the perks. i got a letterman this year. i only would have done that if i was a manager. 7. being a manager allows me to focus on my broadcasting hopes. i broadcast all the home baksetball games. 8. did i mention im white? 9. vtech loves these lists. oh and zzhadow, thanks for quoting the keep it serious and civil LOL. i knew something like this was going to erupt.

Basketball requires more endurance as well alomst 3 to 4 miles the average players runs in a game. And yes I would agree with vtech it does take a lot of skill and coordination. Well.....Thurman if your going to be a manager be the best at it. I had a kid that was my manager for Track he was outstanding, I felt like Donald Trump give him tasks to do. I gave him a team T-shirt and carried him to the state meet (Put him in a hotel for 2 days and fed him for 3). A GOOD manager is essential for any sport, by the way I could see Hokie being a manager; im sure he had no problem picking up the food for the players. LOL!

Basketball is the toughest sport to be good at. You can be successful in football by being just big. You can be successful in baseball by being smart or just fast. You have to have all those to play basketball. Basketball players are the best athletes in the world. Find me another group of 6'9" guys who move like that.

baseball is skill first athleticism second... i knew a gang banger in juco who transfered to virginia to play hoops, while in juco he tryed out for the baseball team and was just awefull.... his arm didnt work at all, hand and eye coordination with a bat in his hand and while trying to catch a fly ball was pretty shakey at best...

wow this thread derailed fast.
spenser, i would love to see you touch the rim some day.
baseball players are by far the least athletic. football is right behind basketball...although they get a bonus point for beating the shit out of people, most basketball dudes are pansies when they get hit (me included lol) which is why they always get pissed when people foul them hard going to the rack.
thurm, vtech already said it, but just go on hgh.

eberry what up my nig, long time holla at cha boi cali sometime. The gang banger probably never played baseball before, you have to understand some kids have been playing baseball since t-ball days. Hell vtech is probably about to sign his little girl up. My youngest daughter is a leftie and because most coaches naturally train kids with right hands she has become even handed. She's 10 now been running point guard for me since she was 4. She's pretty nasty and mean, she's one of those girls that will hit the floor to scramble for the ball. And yes most pro basketball players are pansies. I like to play the pickup games where I can sip on me a cold brew as we play. I also play Men's league during the summer and fall. 35 and over of course, you young guys like to run around to much; older guys think with the ball.

I listen to Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka everyday before I go inside my school. You have to understand my school is 98% black and Waka Flocka grew up in the community. We have our slew of gangs, I talk shit without cursing on a daily basis. If I was a square they would eat me alive. I relate to a lot of them, I think I may have written up maybe 5 kids in the last three years alone. I don't think you would have a problem relating either vtech, you would be amazed. Its alot of those snobish people that end up living education early, by the way I'm approaching year number 14, been doing this since I was 22 son.
Also its like they say a crook can be the best cop if they applied themselves.

the gang banger played baseball in h.s... he was from oklahoma. its a unique thing to see athletic ability, and starting early is positive... not neccesary. i didnt start playin baseball until i was 11.. competitively. and baseball players are underrated big time as athletes. ive trained around nfl players, mlb players, mls players and have seen as many better athletes who played on the diamond. i agree basketball players are the most athletic, in general... but there are top athletes in all of these games. center fielder for the brewers(carlos gomez a.k.a. "el g") freakishly athletic.

hit?? unless you can hit as a pitcher... your told to just be a lazy ass in the batters box and jog to first... maybe bunt from time to time... basically avoid injury at all costs.

Yeah come on butt squeeze. Baseball is all about muscle memory and hand eye coordination. Yes there are some terrific atheletes that play baseball I.e Carl Crawford, but mostly everything you do is muscle memory based. When you hit the pitchers 60 feet 6inches away every time, a fast still goes straight, a change up goes slower, and a curve ball, well curves. I'd be the first one saying hitting a baseball is harder then tits, but as far as being the most athletic/skilled at ur sport, nothing compares to basketball. You do realize when you play ur doing everything while ur being tested and drained via cardio nonstop? It's not like kobes hitting fadeaway jumpers from the sane spot on the floor every single time, and he is doing it while he's moving and running nonstop. You go run a mile or 2 then try hitting, it's not even comparable.

you guys are are acting like im saying baseball is the most athletic game. ive already said 2 diffrent times in a post that i agree basketball is. im making a case for baseball because people dont give it the credit it deserves. it takes a very unique athlete to play baseball.
and littledingy..... ive wrestled, played hoops, played football, played baseball, ive snowboarded since 12yrs old, even took ti' chi' for 9 months....... i was just as taxed after catching 9 innings than after playin a game of bball or football. wrestling is a step over them all. wrestle straight whoops ur ass not even a comparison there.

so you specialize...in basketball you do everything. ummm no... but i do make a living judging athletes.... ive gone to plenty of hoop games to watch a potential baseball draft perform on the court.... im just showing you guys what kind of guys are in the game of baseball. every body always thinks they can play baseball, that its easy, that you dont even have to be athletic.... LOL

missed that one... there are guys who specialize in one thing in all sports. ben wallace?? defense.
specialize... duh.. pitching is part of the game. and being able to throw 98mph for nearly a 20 year career. thats the "special" in specialize. being able to throw a baseball like pro guys do... its alot more complicated than just playin a lil game of ol catch out in the front yard.
