Thurm's tryin to get pretty swole by the time the next school year runs around, so if any of you guys have any advice for workouts and such that'd be great. As you may recall I'm skinny as hell so my arms really need to be worked on, and my abs are prolly my best strength right now cuz im so damn skinny. Any vitamins, supplements (no blaco shit) any thing really is wanted.
thanks guys. im sure youll keep this serious and civil.

If you're wanting to put on weight you have to eat right thurm. Gaining weight is probably about 60% diet and 40% lifting. Diet As far as diet you are going to want to eat high carb and high proteins. Chicken and fish are awesome. Pasta's are a great post workout meal. The meal you eat before you workout and the one after are pretty important. Any food will help you gain the weight but eating taco bell and whataburger is not really the weight you want. You can work with it but its tough. Supplements And there are a million things you can buy as far as supplements and shakes. But high protein ones are usually the way to go. If you're not a beast in the weight room you don't want to take the shit I take (high calorie) because then you'll just get fat. If you have great work ethic and are willing to bust your ass then by all means eat anything and everything. For you I would suggest just a basic monocreatine or just any shake thats high protein. Mix the monocreatine with white grape juice and the shake you can just mix it with water and you should be good to go. Lifting You are going to want to heavy weight with not alot of reps. Having a spotter would be convenient so you can do more weight. Im assuming you don't lift a whole lot so start with this www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/10-week-mass-building-program.htmlThis way you're not killing yourself with weight yet. Then once you start seeing the results you like try moving to something to get more specific results. I've put on close to 30 pounds starting with that workout. But again it's all about diet and how much you want it thurm. Lots of people want to be jacked but not everyone wants to put in work. You're not gonna want to workout some days but you'll feel 100x better if you talk yourself into it.

Yeah at the moment like 20% of my diet is fast food. Although I have tried to go less on it, less sodas, the such. I'm drinking muscle milk now, and working out at around the same time every day at 6pm or so right before dinner. We have a workout station which is what I've been using its got like 3 different stations, i dont know what they are called, but Ive been doing this like 3 sets of 10 on all of em somewhat consistently for the past 2 months. I've noticed that my pecs are starting to look better, however thats about it. I'm doing crunches and pushups every day. Doing the whole pushup and plank thing, so I'm trying. Basically I want to stop being the whole skinny Thurman to everyone. I want some chick to see me and say like wow. Or when I go back to my hometown people see how I've changed ya know. We've got some dumbells that I'll prolly try out tomorrow. Also we've got a punching bag, is there anything I can do with that?

punching bag=waste of time
dumbbells you can do anything you want with.
cut out sodas completely or limit yourself to like 1 a day.
Focus on diet thurm, thats the most important thing. And everything on that workout I posted can be done with dumbbells.

1st, From my personal experience and from alotta my friends who are body builders I would honestly stay away from the mass builders. One, you're too young and still growing into your own body and from what you're telling me you have no "core" or base to build on. Mass builders help guys that have already been lifting for awhile and just wanna put on some weight, not newbies. Another reason why I'm against mass builders is there isn't alotta flexibilty with them and they lead to putting on more unwanted fat weight then from what you can get by just eating extra chicken, tuna, almonds ect..
If I were you, I'd go and get a pre-workout drink. I take NO Explode, it gets you focused and motivated like no other but don't abuse it cause there are side effects like diahharea ect.. NO stands for Nitric Oxide, it won the molecule of the year in 1992 when a formula for it was invented and it prompts vasodilation aka it helps your blood flow better throughout your body. It also raises your veins to the edge of your skin so when ur jacked, you'll have those power veins in your arms everyone wants. It is good stuff, I love it and swear by it as do abuncha my friends. Also, I know about 20 guys on the Ohio State football team use it if that gives you anymore incentive.
There's also stuff that is alil more hardcore like M-5 but I'd wait on that for a bit. NO explode will definately do the trick. You feel like a beast when you're in the gym, and even more beastly when you aren't. I can't sit still after I take it sometimes, cause all I wanna do is workout or bang out. It's legit. NO also has some creatine in it so it will also help you put on lean weight as well. This will run you about $45.00 American but will last you for 2 monthsish.
Then I'd go and get a tub of any kind of Whey protein. Whey is basically the same everywhere and with every company but finding the best tasting and one that is low in sugar and calories from fat is the one you wanna go for. MUSCLE MILK, I repeat lol, MUSCLE MILK is the BEST tasting but the WORST whey protein drink on the market and that is a fact. Yes you get ur 20 grams of protein per scoop, but look at the calories from fat and sugars, it's the WORST lol. Muscle Milk has over 200 calories per scoop I believe and has over 80 grams of calories from fat. It's awful for you. I get ON Gold Standard Whey. Get the huge Tub it will save you some cash, it costs about 45 bucks but will last you for a solid 2-3 months because there are over 80 servings in it. It has 120 calories per scoop with 24 grams of protein and only 10 calories from fat. It is basically better all the way around and it tastes exactly the same! Cookies and cream is the best flavor fyi, just mix with water and ur set. Drink 1 or 2 protein shakes a day, one within 15 mins after ur done lifting and one before you go to bed at night. Like 2 hours before.
2NDLY, and the most exciting part for you is, you've never really lifted before. When you first start lifting, you'll realize that you get hungry way more often then when you weren't lifting and you will easily gain 10-15 pounds in your first 3 months of lifting hard. These are called "Newbie" gains and they are the most significant gains you will see throughout your life. It's awesome going from a skinny piece of shit to actually seeing visible changes in your body. I was 6'2 155 at the end of my junoir year basketball season in high school and that summer I decided to do what ur trying to do one year before me and I was 175 by the END OF THE SUMMER. That's 20 pounds in 3 monthish, it was awesome.
If you want any tips on certain workouts lemme know too cause I could go on for days haha

if you have to take something to get you "fired" up to workout..... my advice would be just stick with cardio. all your gonna do is waste $$ buying shit, buying shit to make you "feel" good, but that shit only works for so long then you 'll get over it and resort back to the usual. and/or just except that you maybe a lengthy gangly dude... if you work hard and eat "real" food thats all you need to do.

lol. thanks for the advice everyone.
1. muscle milk does taste really good, but ya its got like 11g of fat. 2. i have worked out before, last year basketball offseason we had workouts everyday after school so i went to those and ya i gained like 30 lbs on my bench in like 8 weeks. pretty sweet. 3. right now i usually drink only one Dr Pepper a day 4. i dont wanna be a body builder, i just wanna have some muscles ya know. frankly i want to be NORMAL lol. thats usually the goal of every teenager at some point. 5. i never eat a good breakfeast, cuz i wake up at like 10 or 11 and my mom has already made breakfeast and none is left. during the school year i get up as late as possible and eat a pop tart while driving to school. so ya, no es bueno for breakfast.
thanks vtech and joran.

^that's why you cycle it. lol u prolly just power lifted to get stronger for baseball which gets u bigger but not necassarily the definition as more of a body building type guy which is more of what I do. Supplements or no supplements though you gotta bust your ass to get results you can't go through the motions.

littyjordydingy.... ive forgotten more things about training than you know of, deal with it. thurm... your a teenager, just eat as much food as you can handle. if you want to look good and feel good about it without having to smear grease all over yourself and wear a speedo.... mix up your workouts day 1- circuit train... example high reps/ for longer durations and low rest inbetween sets. weight should be body weight or + 20% give or take day 2- controled weight... example peak your reps... move up weight each set/lower reps day 3- heavy, heavy, heavy... low reps and all kinds of weight.... last set or two should be as close to your limit within 3 reps day 4- core, core and more core...
if your playing sports at the time try and focus on movements within your workouts that are relative.

Thurman, just start smoking weed and don't do any homework. Sell drugs and start drinking 40's too. The world is going to end in 2010, so, you might as well enjoy it.

Ultimately everything can be done by eating the right foods. Probably cheaper than buying shit too. But not everyone has time to fix proper meals all day.

Lol butt squeeze prolly does full body workouts when he hits the weights....deal with it. Core workouts are on my "off" days squeeze, that's not even considered a workout this way. Super sets are what you wanna do too thurm, there great for helping you get the pump.
Squeees looks like He's describing our BFS (Bigger Faster Stronger) workout plan in high school. Shit was created in the 70s and was an awful program haha.

if you want to get big and slow... look like someone just pumped you full of air, listen to dingy and just do the basics. if you want to train your body for a purpose and at the same time the "look" you mentioned will show up... i can give you somthing to use.
