No way losing Moreno and Stafford, even with a healthy OL. Moreno was a bigger blow than stafford in my opinion. We have alot of young talent at QB. 3 guys that were at the elite 11. We got the best QB out of the state of florida this year with Aaron Murray, out of tampa. Joe Cox is the starter right now but he will feel the heat early. Logan Gray was the best QB out of Missouri, he is number 2 with Murray and Mettenburger enrolled early. Our RB's will go back to RB by committee, and if our OL stays healthy they will have running lanes. AJ Green gives us a deep threat and should open up the underneath stuff. Schedule is brutal again, we open at OK state. Plus still there is no one at DE yet. Georgia will be around 15-19 which is good for us, Richt always looks like he knows what he is doing when his teams are in this range. GT will be good next year on the game too. this will be some good battles in 10. I hope I can get them and keep them in 10. Florida should be banned from the COFL in 2010.

A look at A&M's schedule.
vs. New Mexico vs. Utah State vs. UAB vs. Aranksas (game at the new Cowboys Stadium) vs. Oklahoma State @ Kansas State @ Texas Tech vs. Iowa State @ Colorado @ Oklahoma vs. Baylor vs. Texas
Youve gotta like it when your first true road game isnt until October 17. But we won't be very good at all. Great in the runningback department, but no WRs and our D will be skeptical at best. Hopefully the OL will be better with a year of experience under their belts.

How about suspect?

Post by Thurman Murman on Mar 5, 2009 17:29:45 GMT -6
You are correct, suspect works better. The whole team is just young right now, our leading WR last season was our third string QB if that gives any indication how good we are haha

Bad teams should play other bad teams, wouldn't you agree? The Arkansas game is going to be an annual thing now, trying to get back to the rivalry we had back in the SWC days. I heard we might be trying to get an annual game with LSU as well, SWC thing again, but that would be crazy haha. I don't like getting blown out by SEC teams ya dig.

Thurman when exactly was LSU in the SWC? prior to the inception of the SEC 1920's? As far as arkansas you guys can have that fucking hick town school, they are not apart of the sec, take them and south carolina can go to the ACC or indy all over again. Arkansas has yet to win an SEC title in nearly 20 years, it's never gonna happen for them, they need to join the big 12 and get ass raped by Oklahoma and texas every year and take pride in beating TAMU every other year. They are more of a natural fit for the big 12. I cant believe you posted that schedule up either thuman, OOC is a fucking joke.

Looking at your schedule Thurman there is no damn excuse why you guys shouldn't be at least bowl eligible at the end of the season.
UAB is about to disband their football team. New Mexico and Utah State, come on.
Then in the North you get Colorado, Iowa State, and K-State.
Then Baylor in the south.
So 6 teams there you guys should beat.
You will lose to Texas Tech, Texas, OK State, and Oklahoma
Toss up games Arkansas and Colorado
So you guys will finish 6-6 to 8-4, anything less than 6 wins your coach should be fired or his staff. 6 wins and a bowl loss on the hot seat.

Alrighty. Well you don't understand the dire situation we are in with our football team right now. WE LOST TO ARKANSAS STATE LAST YEAR!!! We are not the A&M you remember seeing beat up on Ty Detmer in the Holliday Bowl in like 1990. Coach Fran was the stupidest guy ever. Took a record setting passing QB in Stephen McGee and made him into an option QB. Left us no WRs or OL at all. Arkansas and New Mexico should be good games. Iowa and Kansas State should be wins, but ya never know. Colorado will be a good game. Do not, i repeat, do not downgrade Baylor at all. These are not the same guys that you remember having winless seasons and stuff like that. They beat us last year in Wacky Waco. They have a great young QB in Robert Griffin III, he is a star, just was not noticed out of high school. Baylor will be a close game. The other games in the south, we will lose. But I always have hope against Texas. That is our Super Bowl. Everything goes into that game to win, its the biggest event of the year at A&M basically. I hope we can set a new Kyle Field record, but with it being on Thanksgiving now (started with the 08 game) I'm not sure if I see that happening. Less than 6 wins and the staff should be fired? This is Sherman's second chance, give me a chance to recruit guys in. We got like the 5th best RB in the nation this recruiting season. He will get some guys in and get us back to a decent level I think. Hell we endured Fran for like five years of going like 3-24 to OU, Texas & Tech, not to mention the 77-0 loss at OU and the two worst bowl losses in school history (Cal Holliday Bowl, Tennessee Cotton Bowl). It will be a hard year for us, with some cupcakes I think that we could make a push at the Independence Bowl maybe.

Georgia will play Texas any day. We can play the game in Shreveport, LA (Independce Bowl Staduim). We will also play for free. That stadium (next to the Cotton Bowl) is one of the biggest dumps to play a game in. Stadium is just horrendus and there is nothing to do in Shreveport.
